Important Facts - Equine Healing Clay
The healing clay was discovered on the West
Coast of British Columbia. Paleontologists tell us the clay
is over 45,000 years old; this rare product is the result of
the movement of the great Glaciers. As the glaciers
retreated the glacial sediments settled in coastal lagoons.
Mineral Claim
One of the largest recorded
deposits, a mineral claim staked by the author, is over 4 meters thick
(12 feet) and covers an area of more than twenty acres (there are only
two registered mineral claims, of this type, in British Columbia).
Aboriginal Roots
The aboriginal peoples have used
this natural element for hundreds of years to treat cuts, abrasions,
swollen limbs, fevers, mange, insect bites and skin irritations. Animals
in the wild congregate and wallow in the clay where it is exposed under
natural conditions.
Treats a Variety of
Animals
For treatment of household pets,
including horses, the clay has no natural equal. The first reaction
people have when they are first introduced to the clay is, “I am not
subjecting this valuable animal to be treated with common mud”. This is
fair comment until you know the facts and the reasons as to why it
works.
Clay, not mud
First of all the product is not a
mud, it is a mined mineral consisting of large amounts of oxides and
trace minerals. During the production process the clay is heated to
temperatures over 240 degrees Fahrenheit. This extended heat treatment
insures that there are no pathogens in the product. The screening
procedure removes the majority of the foreign matter, which to begin
with is only 2.8% *. The finished product has a maximum particle size of
41 microns down to 0.01 microns.
How does it work?
Simply put, the clay has the
ability to accumulate a great number of negative-ions on the surface of
the clay platelets, (negative-ions “the good guys”, attract positive-ions “the bad guys”,
Most bacteria have a positive
ionic charge. The clay platelets, with their negative charge, magnetically attract the positive ions. This reaction causes the blood
circulation to increase to the affected area, resulting in a greater
number of nutrients being made available through the body’s own
circulatory system, to help in the healing process. As the positively
charged bacteria are attached to the negative-ions, natural secretion
cleans the area and partially sterilizes it. Removing the clay once
daily with clean warm water gets rid of the toxins that will have
accumulated in the clay.
What it does?
When applied, the product will
stimulate the blood circulation to a particular area of the body,
helping to increase the flow of nutrients through the blood stream that
will greatly aid in natural healing. The negative ions will attract the
positive ions cleaning the affected area, help to partially sterilize
it, and get rid of any accumulated toxins. The product will not cause
harm if licked and swallowed. There are no added ingredients; the producer
guarantees that the product consists of pure mineral and trace minerals
known as Glacial Marine Clay. The company makes no claim as to the clays
ability to cure, only that it may assist in the healing process.
